Ever since I can remember, I have always loved animals and had to be around them. While growing up, you could find me playing with lizards, snakes, mice, cats, dogs, or any other animal. There wasn’t a time period in my life that I didn’t have at least two pets. Even when I visited my great grandparents for the summers in California from where I lived in Virginia, I still got to play and take care of their pets. In the summers in California, I worked at a family friend’s pet groomer. There, I was able to wash the pets and take care of them as needed. On my free time, I would catch lizards or snakes and try to make nice homes for them. After a short amount of time, I felt bad and released them back to the wild. One of the neighborhood cats that lived next door used to always catch baby bunny rabbits and I would save them and take care of them. I kept two of them and made them my pets. My more formal collection of animals began at age 10 when I moved to California. Currently, my family and I have 5 dogs, 2 horses and 4 cats. Animals are definitely things I love and want to continue learning about and working with. I really want to become a Veterinarian, myself! I am now 20 years young and hope to reach my goal by age 30.
